Chapter Seven

Erik docked the boat up and they left Brighton. He carried Nadine to the waiting car as the two men got in a Bentley and drove off.

In an hour Eric was back at his place. He brought Nadine to a room and let her sleep off the drug. He made a call.

“Yes, I have what you’re looking for. Very young, yes. Send me a deposit and we can get started.”

The next morning Nadine woke up and looked around. She didn’t recognize where she was. She had a feeling she somehow engaged in group sex but dismissed the thought as a product of her imagination. She went to the door and tried to open it but found it locked. She banged on it. Erik heard the noise and entered.

“Nadine, I’m so glad you’re okay. You passed out on the boat, and I drove you straight to my place. How are you feeling?”

“Not too good. I need to go home.”

“You’re in no condition. Listen, I hired a doctor to examine you. Please let him do that so I know you’re okay. Would you do that for me please?”

“I’m fine.”
“Yes, I’m sure you are. Just to be safe, okay?”

For some reason unknown to her, Nadine seemed to have lost her sense of agency. She hesitated.

“Thank you. I’ll get her.”

A woman in a white lab coat came in the room as Erik left.

“Hello Nadine. I’m Dr. Severson. Mr. Lustenberg asked if I might examine you to see that you’re alright. This won’t take long.”

Nadine went along with it. The doctor put a stethoscope over her heart and listened. She then took her blood pressure.

“You’re dehydrated. I’m going to give you a shot which contains some vital nutrients which should make you feel better. This won’t hurt at all. There you go. You’re all set. I would suggest you take it easy for the next 48 hours. I’ll be available should you need anything.”

The doctor left the room and Nadine started hallucinating and felt a warmth inside that was pleasurable and made her forget any troubling thoughts. She smiled and nodded off.

“What did you give her?” said Erik.

“Morphine. It should do the trick.”

“Perfect. Here take this.”

He handed her an envelope containing $5,000.

“Thank you, Erik. Let me know if you need me for anything else.”

She left and Erik poured himself a vodka, sat down and smiled to himself. He had Nadine just where he wanted her.
