Harold Jones, an up and coming jazz musician, gets hooked on heroin. To ensure he has a big enough supply, he ends up being a dealer, becoming extremely rich in the process. He begins taking away sizable profits from Enrique Valdez, a self-proclaimed drug lord who runs the majority of narcotics traffic in New York City. Harold uses his improvisatory skills to build his business which threatens to kill all competition. Valdez is a ruthless operator who hates to lose and will do whatever is necessary to destroy Jones. It’s a cat and mouse game with betrayal, scandal, and dead bodies turning up in unexpected places. Right brain meets left brain.
