MICHAEL J. MALLEN was born in Transylvania, the third son of Count Dracula, and strange as it may seem, has no taste for human blood. One of the reasons he left the family concerned the mysterious illness of Lucy Westenra and Van Helsing’s mad pursuit of his father. He could see where things were headed with that whole nasty vampire business.

So, when he was thirteen, Michael ran away to live in Paris where he enjoyed the company of artists and later assisted Victor Hugo in the writing of Les Misérables. He then sailed to America where he joined the circus, developing a unique set of skills as a sword swallower and tightrope walker. In a few years he had saved a good deal of money, invested heavily in the stock market, and amassed a small fortune.

The one benefit Michael received from his father was the gift of immortality. However, unlike his undead dad, he doesn’t need to consume the blood of humans to stay alive — only love and a 45 automatic.

Michael currently resides in Beverly Hills where he advises the heads of major movie studios on what stories to invest in to ensure box office success.
